About Dan Watters
Dan Watters is a British comic book writer whose work moves easily between superhero mythology, horror, and formally ambitious creator-owned comics.
He first broke out with Limbo at Image Comics alongside Casper Wijngaard, then went on to build a reputation through books like Lucifer, Homesick Pilots, Coffin Bound, and Arkham City: The Order of the World. At DC he has become one of the sharpest Gotham voices working today, writing Batman: Dark Patterns, Nightwing, and other Batman-adjacent stories with a clear thesis about cities, monsters, and what horror can reveal about people.
Watters is also a founding member of White Noise, the writer's studio and support network he built with Ram V, Alex Paknadel, and Ryan O'Sullivan. That collaborative spirit runs through much of his work, including the dual-book mystery Six Fingers / One Hand, a structurally playful project that invites readers to solve a third hidden story across two companion series.
